It's been three months since we closed on our construction loan. We still only have an incomplete foundation that has several issues that need to be corrected.

They have only worked 5 days in the past 3 months. Their "project managers" are not qualified to build houses. They don't have a clue. I asked my project manager about the hold up on my well and was told "I'll have to check on that.

I've never built a house with a well." There is absolutely No communication between the people you plan your house with and the people who are supposed to build your house. I hope this gets better, but as of now it's a real nightmare!

Reason of review: Bad quality.

I'm 8 months in with these clowns and they only have a block foundation set....cant seem to get a framing crew together, I guess the labor around here knows what's up dealing with them.

They keep putting us off and no responding to my calls.

They are lying on the county and blaming them for the long delays....not I personally went to the county and it's the builder with poor communication and lies...... FED UP CUSTOMER!!!

Well, it has been 5 months for us and the inside is just frame work. It has sat for weeks, roughly 7, with no work being done.

We alwaysa get one excuse or another, but not the response we would like. We have many issues, and it is just hard to be excited about our knew home anymore, when there are so many problems.

Lack of communication, poor scheduling of contractors, damage supplies being used, extra money charged on contract, having to redo work already done, changes not made to floor plans, and I could go on and on...but hey, they worked hard in the beginning for our business, guess that counts for something. Good Luck, I think we both need it!

We are building a home in SC. Our experience seems to be the same as yours. What area are you building in?

SC must be popular these days, that is where the Project Manager/General Manager always says he is at or coming from when we calling to ask questions.

Which office did you use? I am building in SC also and have had nothing but trouble.

We went with them because they told us 4 months to build. We are currently in month 7. They are close to being done, but I am noticing a lot of shotty work being done and shortcuts being taken. The base boards have some gaps between them and the wall.

There are some cracked siding pieces and some of the siding isn't even. I can't go into much detail because I am scared they will mess it up even more. I had checked their reviews about 2 years ago and they were around 3.5. Then when I checked again before deciding on who to build with, miraculously the reviews were almost 5 star.

Should have been a red flag right there but at the time the other offices still had bad reviews so I said hey, maybe they have a good team in there now. Problem is you go back and look at the reviews for other AHP offices around here and their reviews are almost 5 star as well now. Something is up with that. Also if you try to search these people out on FB or any other means, they don't seem to exist.

Or if they do, there is no mention of them building a house or even any pictures. Anyway, when calling the project manager, he always says, I will check into that and nothing ever gets done. I am at my wits end. They lied and made everything seem like it would run like a well oiled machine.

Then get my deposit, rush me to sign paperwork, and then take their sweet time to build a house that in some places looks like they let their kids come in and do the work. The problem is the people they hire are not doing it to build my dream home. They are doing it as fast as they can to get paid and move on to the next job. And they are doing it sloppy, just to get finished.

I wonder if there is any legal recourse or if you're just out of luck. If I had my choice, in hindsight, I would have definitely have went with a local builder. It may have taken a little longer, but i doubt it seeing as from start to the now projected finish, it's coming close to a year. This includes picking out colors and house plans.

But I am looking at almost 9 months of them building. But if you take the days they actually worked on the house, it would be closer to 3-4 months.

I was so excited when we first started. Now all I can do is cry and have regrets and hate the fact that my dream home is going to have so many issues and cost so much more to get fixed.

Nobody will do anything about any of our problems. AHP are nothing but scam artist.

I am going through your screwjob right now. Dothan Alabama has the most ignorant people working there the project manager there is quitting at the 1st of the year and who does that leave us with? He already never shows. He probably cant get to our place without GPS.

Its been 6 months. Good luck to any sucker that gets conned into their trap.
