Overall, we love our new home.But the follow through to get issues fixed has been a trial, to put it mildly.

It all began with them ordering the wrong front door. It took EIGHT MONTHS to get the correct one. But rather than having painters lined up immediately, they showed up 1 1/2 months late and almost three months later, we still have blue tape and unfinished doors. We are giving up and hiring our own painter to come finish them.

And then there are the floor people. Seven times we have blocked off big chunks of time for them to come fix some poorly installed flooring, stained carpet, and to fix missed places on the stairs. Seven times, they failed to show up or even call. We gave up waiting for the project manager to get a *** flood light replaced and did it ourselves.

We live in a hurricane area. Not only was the door wrong, but also the plywood cut to match the windows was wrong. They know this, and have not replaced them. The project manager knows, too.

As for the project manager, we like him personally, but he let a number of things fall through the cracks, or wasn't present when he should have been. A case in point was the framing and pouring of driveway concrete. It is too far over to one side because dirt was delivered after the PM marked where it should be and he failed to re-draw it or make sure the forms were right. Don't even get me started on the Hydroseed guy who sprayed it places he shouldn't have and not where he should have.

Again. he was not managed while here. As a result, we have had to re-seed a number of times, spending a lot of money andtime.

We have been in our house for almost 6 months and are sick of having blue tape on our doors, our floors, our carpet, stairs, and handrails.A few things have been fixed, which we appreciate, but getting the big things done has been a huge pain.

I didn't like: Length of time it took to build, Lack of punch list follow through, Lack of timely communication, Failure to make timely repairs despite repeated requests.
