We got our house built by AHP and moved in July of this year. I’m usually not a picky person but for the price you pay for a house being built, should come with little to no mistakes.

First off, the “crew” built this house & siding /roof - apparently liked to drink beer while working . I found 14 corona bottle tops in my driveway next to the building site. As if that didn’t make me uneasy enough, it was always something - whether Lowe’s scratching up the floor with appliances or oven being chipped. They would leave the ac on which is fine because this is South Georgia but common courtesy would be to turn if off AND the lights before leaving!! I even came in one morning and had bacon crumbs on my kitchen floor when we haven’t even moved in yet! Along with the toilet being used by the “professional workers” before us. (They had a bathroom outside.)

Our fireplace had a crack through the glass door & they fixed it and recently had a crack in one of the stones and they sent people out and these two guys didn’t have a clue what they were doing. Broke the stone in half and asked would it still be okay?!? Like yeah,$ 4,000 fireplace cracked before using - sure totally okay! And they still haven’t came back to fix it and it’s going to be freezing tonight. Also been smelling a sweet musty smell every time the heater turns on!! Surely nothing could be wrong with it ..

We have been saving for over 8 years for this house . And it’s definitely been a blessing from what we use to live in but these things should NOT happen. And don’t try and get ahold of anyone because they won’t get back with you immediately, unless of course you owe money then the contractor/boss of the crew will show up.

This is my first bad review I have ever written & im 30 years old. If you’re looking into building I suggest you go through a realtor and don’t build! It’s not worth the stress nor the money to finally have your dream home but with problems.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Eek! We too have seen drinking by the "crew" in addition to littering on the lot, taking supplies we paid for, and throwing away their personal house garbage (over three bags) into the construction waste.

It's just tasteless. We have found the doors left open now several times so I don't even want to know what happens if the wind picks up and damages it! This home for us is actually a "downgrade" as we use to have a larger home and it was built by a big home builder much better than what this one is starting out. I'm not committed to giving them a terrible review across all review sites and social media just yet....but I'm definitely restraining myself from going viral with some of the stuff.

We hope the problems we have are addressed and that they are not insane enough to ask for our final payment before that time. If so, I can guarantee that the story will be told.
